Business 2.442,39 Euros per Passenger

Saturday 7th March

Transport from Suvarnabhumi Airport Bangkok to Hotel in BKK City Centre

After exiting the plane: Make your way to Baggage Reclaim. On the way you will go through Passport Control. Directly behind Passport Control is baggage reclaim.

Your can get your SIM Card online, but here in the Baggage Reclaim area, there are many stands offering Sim Cards. If you need one, get it here now - it's faster than in the main Airport Area where you wait in long queues.
To waste no time, I go to the 'True' counter directly beside my baggage reclaim belt and get a SIM card. Great deals for tourist flat rates, depeding on how long you plan to stay, eg. 15 day tourist Sim for approx. 700 thb. You need your passport and know your mobile code, they do the rest  for you.

Taxi Level 1

When you pick up your luggage and go through customs and enter the main part of the Airport you are on Level 2. take a right.

The first opportunity you see, to your right hand side (middle of building), you can take the escalator down to Level 1 - Taxi Level.

On Level 1, once you come off the escalator exit the building and take a left. Keep going in the same direction  along the pavememt, (walk past all the expensive Taxi Counters where everyone is shouting 'Taxi!'), until you see machines for the Taxis:

  1. Choose long distance for your hotel in the city centre.
  2. Be patient, the machine is a bit slow, but you will recieve a ticket with a taxi stance number. Walk to the taxi stance number, the taxi driver will be waiting for you there.

Take the motorway option, it is faster. There are tolls on the motorway, but it is not expensive (the equivalent of a few Euros). Also, there is a small Airport fee, which the taxi driver will add all together for you at the end when you arrive arrive at the Hotel. Be sure to have Thai Baht with you, it is not possible to pay either by card nor by another currency.

Here a summary of the main points:

  • Passengers arriving at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport enter the arrivals hall on Level 2. To catch a public taxi (known as a taxi-meter) you need to go down to Level 1 using the escalators.
  • Take Airport directly from the Airport to your hotel -  (approx 1 hour drive - depending on traffic).
  • Taxi price approx 800thb (including small Airport fee and toll charges on motorway).

http://www.nandhahotelsthailand.com/

2. Aspira G

https://www.aspira-hotels.com/hotels/aspira-g-sukhumvit-33/

We have never stayed in this ourselves, but when we walked past it to get to the Nandha Hotel, it

looked very nice. and more modern than the Nandha - although on the webpage photos, the rooms look

very small but adequate. They also offer suites in an annex building a 5 minute walk away which allows

you access to a gym & rooftop pool.

Rooms approx. 42 /70  Euros per night (2 people) no breakfast.

the main Sukhumvit Road - although it is so central it is still quiet.

Friedi will probably be able to get you a better Siemens rate for this accommodation so please ask us

if you are interested.

Rooms average approx 240 Euros per night (2 people) & breakfast.

19:00 Dinner - Imjai Thai Food, Sukhumvit Soi 33

Let us know if you will join us - RSVP: End of November 2025!

Very typical Thai standard & no frills - normal simple Thai food in a small restaurant on the main road  Sukhumvit.

The only reason is because it is close to both hotels on the Sukhumvit (10 mins walking distance) and we will be exhausted after a long day of traveling, we do not feel like going to the effort of going through all the Bangkok traffic to get to somewhere exclusive to eat - this will do us just fine - good food & cold beer! We will reserve upstairs with aircon! Food simple typical Thai, nothing special but we will order lots and it is good!

There's normally a DJ playing live musci and we can chill and decompress from our long day of

traveling before heading back to our hotels, within walking distance, for a well deserved good night's

sleep after such a long day opf traveling: https://escape-bangkok.com/

Wat Arun is one of Bangkok's most important Buddhist temples. It's named after Aruna, the Hindu God of dawn, and its distinctive spires, or "prang" make it one of Thailand's most identifiable landmarks. At around 82 m (270 feet) in height, the central prang of the Wat Arun Temple is the highest in Bangkok.

From Wat Pho we will jump on TukTuks and take a 15 minute drive (through China Town and the famous Flower area), to our all time favourite Temple in BKK: The Golden Mount (Wat Saket in Thai). built on a man-made hill topped with a golden chedi. Originally called Wat Sakae and dating back to the Ayutthaya period, it became a crematorium for plague victims before being restored and named Wat Saket by King Rama I. Visitors climb over 300 steps to reach the top for panoramic city views and to see the Buddha's relics housed within the stupa.

From Samed Villas it takes a good 15 minutes to walk - give or take depending on the heat ;-)

restaurant beside the beach which belongs to the resort incase you get hungry or thirsty.
